Founded in Cleveland, Ohio, Henry Sherwin entered the paint industry when he invested in a paint distribution company.  Four years later, Henry and Edward Williams formed a partnership and started doing business as Sherwin, Williams, & Co. Today, Sherwin-Williams has over 61,000 employees, operates over 4,800 retail locations, and has an annual revenue of over 19 billion dollars.

While beginning my research on Sherwin-Williams, the first thing that I noticed was their age... 148 years old! They were founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1866 by two men... Henry Sherwin and Edward Williams.
