Sitting around on an early Saturday morning, I was pondering about what topics to write about on this blog.  There were a lot of ideas, but instead of thinking in terms of words, I decided to take a graphical approach, instead of going for word count.  With that in mind... let's take a look at the five cultural stages of tribes, according to the book, Tribal Leadership.

The stages below are discussed in detail in the book.  It is important to note, they are the result of a ten-year study of over 24,000 people and in 24 organizations.  That is a lot of people!  What the authors noticed, is that what separates an average group from a historic making group, is the culture.  This is where we get the following five stages.

Goal

The first goal of this article is to introduce the concept of cultural stages to people that have not heard of it before.  The second goal, is to create an easy to remember, graphical snapshot of the five cultural stages.  Something that is very simple to understand and remember. So, here we go...
