Red Wing Shoes, Plant 2

This video presentation of the Red Wing Shoe Company shares the history of the first manufacturing facility, which was opened in 1905, in downtown Red Wing, MN. Today, the factory is creating approximately 25,000 pairs of shoes per week, of 5,000 per day.  The people making the shoes are craftsman on a high quality team.  They create the boots and shoes by hand with a critical eye for consistency in the leather and hand stitching.  The creators of Red Wing boots know their hard work enables people in other industries to do their jobs safely, securely, and with confidence in their shoes.
